Can Kartoglu I found this album from the Spin's "The 300 Best Albums of the Past 30 Years" collection. There is no single track in this album that I dislike to listen. Definitely worth its price. Favorite track: Yellow Cotton Dress.

wonderdog Want to lighten up your life? Listen to this band. Part Magnetic Fields, part who knows what coz they own their particular sound(s).

Arindelle I have no idea how I found you guys, but this is some great songwriting .. a little rough on the edges, but hell I like rough edges! Hard to choose the favorite track ... the male female voice combo really works. Thanks, hoping for more. And come gig in Paris please. Favorite track: Funeral Dress.

Gary Lisker The best band I'd never heard of until I got this one a few months ago. Listened to it twice then purchased everything else they had for sale on Bandcamp. You should, too. Favorite track: Airborne.

dneuser1 The first few times through, you'll hear the songs and think "hmm, kinda catchy." Then you'll suddenly realize that you've had the album on repeat for the last month and the songs just won't get out out of your head. Straight guitar rock doesn't get any more compelling. Great writing, too. Favorite track: Conversation Lags.

about

Funeral Dress marks the recorded debut of Wussy & the first recorded output from Chuck Cleaver of The Ass Ponys since 2001's, Lohio. Imagine the cut-to-the-bone lyrics of Sparklehorse with Freakwater harmonies holding down one end of spectrum; the simplicity, but well crafted pop of The Vaselines & the noise of VU the other. Now shove it all in a well-traveled suitcase filled with a Midwestern perspective of desperation, redemption & salvation; whether it be the personal or the holy kind. That's close to what Wussy is. but the only way to really know is to listen. And to listen again and again.
